In praise of the Introductory Weekend:

I did a back massage last night on Margaret my adopted Aunt. She is a fit 78 year old lady who’s been a widow for 40 years. She had never had a massage before and hopped onto the table straight away!
At the end she said she had never been touched by anyone for as long as that ever in her life. She loved it. She had no idea I was moving round the table. (Which I thought was good). Throughout it all I could hear your voice giving instruction in the moves and strokes. I felt brilliant doing it and even better when I got her feedback. I felt proud of myself. She’s already said next time it’s the face and head please. !!
How lovely is that? I think my search for a massage training is over.
Last weekend I attended the Introductory Massage Course at SCMT. I was full of excitement and some trepidation as to what to expect. There really was no need to worry because the teachers were so warm and inviting that I was immediately at ease and the other attendees were lovely too.
The tutors made learning fun and easy. They are obviously experts in their field and the instructions and guidance are thorough but unhurried giving time for consolidation,
We learned three basic massages over the weekend and what amazed me was the uplifting feeling I received on giving the treatment. It was a total revelation to me and so lovely.
I am looking forward to starting the diploma course and actually wish it was sooner!

The inevitable small print: Please note that you should give 7 days notice of cancellation. In this event we will refund your fee minus a £15 admin charge. If we receive less than 7 days notice of cancellation we cannot refund any fees.
